Japanese Haute Cuisine

Letʼs get something clear: it requires up to 10 years to become a shokunin, a traditional master sushi chef. The Executive Chef Akira Oshima of the Okura Hotel has worked nearly 30 years at introducing Japanese cuisine to The Netherlands. And he has succeeded; since 2002, his restaurant Yamazato has been consistently awarded with a Michelin star. Up to date, it is the only traditional Japanese restaurant with a star in Europe.

Yamazato - Best Japanese Restaurant in Europe
Yamazato excells in both service and culinary art. There simply is nothing more to say. The 'hotel-ness' of the interior probably explains why Yamazato does not have two stars. The Japanese garden pond with large gold fish livens the interior. If you are a meat lover, don't forget to try the Wagyu dishes.

Sazanka - Teppanyaki Tricks
Haut Japanese cuisine prepared right in front of your eyes. As can be expected from the Japanese hotel chain, every little details is perfect. Arrive with good appetite, as one should taste all ten courses!

PS1 - also arrive with a good credit card. PS2 - have the sommelier help you with pairing the wine with your menu. "Itadakimasu" Kira
